Why call the magazine The Straitjackets ?

Many years ago, the noted author Raymond Strait began a writing group in Hemet, California, and they called themselves The Straitjackets. A year ago we entered the field of on-line publishing. We have been gratified by your interest, and excited to be able to publish many outstanding selections.

To restate, our mission is to look for new talent, to publish the unpublished, to encourage those already published.

In the ensuing months and years we hope to bring you excellent and entertaining literature. We know there are plenty of writers looking for avenues to showcase their works, and we hope this e-magazine fills a need.

Now we need submissions of all kinds--poetry, short stories, essays, excerpts from longer works. So send us your best, and help us make this an outstanding magazine.
